Please Join Us in Welcoming Ms. Gayle to Our Fun To Learn Team (Fanling Campus)
We’re excited to share some happy news from our Fun To Learn – Fanling campus: Ms. Gayle has joined our teaching team this week! She’s already been enjoying getting to know the children, and we’ve loved seeing the warm classroom energy as students settle in with a new teacher.
Welcoming a new teacher is a special moment for children—especially in an English-learning environment. A friendly, familiar routine and a calm classroom tone can make all the difference in helping children feel safe, confident, and ready to participate.
What Parents Can Expect When a New Teacher Joins
When a new teacher steps into the classroom, our goal is simple: make the transition smooth for children while keeping learning consistent and enjoyable. Here are a few ways we support that:
1) Familiar routines (so children feel secure)
Children learn best when they know what’s coming next. During a new-teacher week, we keep class structure predictable—greetings, warm-up, lesson focus, and closing routines.
2) Relationship first, learning follows
A child who feels comfortable is more likely to speak up, try new vocabulary, and take healthy learning risks. Ms. Gayle has been focused on learning students’ names, building rapport, and encouraging participation with lots of positive feedback.
3) Active participation and communication
In our classrooms, learning is not just worksheets—it’s interaction. Children practice listening, speaking, and classroom English through guided activities, games, and teacher-led conversation.
4) Gentle confidence-building
Some children jump right in; others take time. We support all learners by:
- praising effort (not just “correct answers”)
- giving sentence starters and modeling
- allowing think time
- celebrating small wins
Why Teacher-Student Connection Matters (Especially for English Learning)
For young learners, language growth is closely tied to confidence. When children trust their teacher, they’re more likely to:
- speak English more often (even if imperfect)
- ask questions
- join group activities
- enjoy class—and keep coming back motivated
That’s why “getting to know the children” is not a side task—it’s part of the curriculum.
A Peek into Our Fanling Classroom

How do children adjust to a new teacher?
Most children adjust quickly when routines stay consistent and the teacher builds trust through friendly greetings, clear instructions, and encouraging feedback.
Will my child’s progress be affected when a new teacher joins?
Our priority is continuity. Lessons follow structured goals, and teachers use consistent classroom routines so children keep learning steadily while they get comfortable.
How can I support my child at home during a transition?
Try:
- asking “What did you do with Ms. Gayle today?” (simple, positive prompt)
- encouraging your child to teach you one new word they learned
- keeping messages upbeat: “New teacher = new fun!”
